Privacy Policy

What Clarity collects, why it is needed, and what stays under your control.

Effective 7 September 2026

What Clarity handles

Clarity handles the answers you give during onboarding, your practice plan, saved vocabulary, recordings, transcripts and measurements derived from your speech. Purchase status is obtained from the App Store so paid access can be restored.

Where your voice goes

Recordings and app history are stored on this phone. When you request transcription or feedback, the selected recording and the minimum context needed to evaluate it are sent securely to the speech and feedback services used by Clarity. They are used to return that result, not to build an advertising profile.

Clarity does not sell your personal data and does not use third-party advertising trackers.

Retention and control

Local recordings are automatically deleted after 30 days. Derived history can remain on the phone so progress can be shown. You can review recording controls or erase all local Clarity data from the You tab.

Version 1 does not sync practice history to an account. Reinstalling the app, erasing the phone or moving to another phone can permanently remove that history. Restoring a purchase restores access only.

Permissions

Microphone access is used only when you choose to record. Notification access is used only if you enable reminders. You can change either permission in your device settings.

Age and changes

Clarity is not intended for children under 13. If this policy changes, the updated effective date will appear here. Material changes will be presented in the app when appropriate.
